Mechanics of the Program

1. The promotion will be open to Jamaican residents islandwide.
2. Advertising will be executed through flyers, in-store signage, radio, press, digital boards, and online digital platforms including social media (@hlrapidtruevalue) and website placements (hardwareandlumber.com).
3. Customers must present and use their H&L Club Loyalty Card at checkout to be eligible for entry into the promotion.
4. Entries are automatically generated and electronically logged in the promotion database, which forms part of Hardware & Lumber's ERP system hosted by VAI (Vormittag Associates, Inc.), 120 Comac Street, Ronkonkoma, New York 11779, United States, (631) 588-9500.

How to Enter: Entry Multiplier System

Customers must present and use their H&L Club Loyalty Card at checkout to be eligible for entry. Qualifying transactions generate multiple entries based on the total eligible purchase value (exclusive of GCT) as follows:

Rules of the Program

1. Eligibility: The promotion is open to residents of Jamaica who are 18 years or older and are registered members of the H&L Club Loyalty Programme.
2. Entry Generation: Entry is automatic via H&L Club Loyalty Card transactions made between November 26 and December 31, 2025. Each transaction meeting the criteria above is logged electronically, generating the corresponding number of entries.
3. Winner Selection: The winner will be selected via random draw from all electronically generated entries.
4. Prize Nature & Tax: The Grand Prize has a total value of $2,000,000 JMD. Hardware & Lumber Limited is responsible for all applicable taxes and fees associated with the prizes.
5. Hardware & Lumber employees and their immediate families (defined as spouse, children, mother, father, or siblings) are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
6. Charity Selection: The winner must select a currently registered Jamaican relief charity or non-profit organization to receive the donation component of the prize. Hardware & Lumber Limited reserves the right to verify the charity’s registration status.
7. Publicity: The winner's name and photograph will be publicly used as a part of the promotion communication.

Grand Prize Structure (Total Value: $2,000,000 JMD)

The promotion features a single Grand Prize, which is split to benefit both the customer and a charitable cause.

Note: The H&L Cash components cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, nor are they transferable. They can only be redeemed for goods and services at Hardware & Lumber locations.

Draw Details

Draw Method: The winner will be selected by a random draw from the total pool of accumulated electronic entries.

Selection Method: Potential winning entries will be randomly selected from the promotion database using an external randomizer platform (random.org). The selection will be conducted in the presence of a representative of the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC) and an internal auditor.

Backup Winners: Three (3) backup winners will be drawn in sequential order (2nd, 3rd, and 4th entries drawn) and utilized in the event the primary winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified.

Winner Contact and Prize Claim

1. Contact Method: The selected winner will be contacted primarily via telephone and secondarily via email, WhatsApp, or SMS, immediately following the draw on January 5, 2026.
2. Phone Contact: We will attempt to contact the customer via phone, with three attempts per day over the course of three days after the draw date. A call is deemed unsuccessful if the phone rings without answer, the call fails, or it goes to voicemail.
3. Follow-up Message (Email/WhatsApp/SMS): If contact cannot be made by phone, a follow-up message will be sent once per day for three consecutive days. The message will read: "Good Day, we are trying to get in touch with you to inform you that you are the selected Winner in the Hope is Always Home Promotion. Please confirm your receipt of this message."
4. Backup Activation: If no response is received from the primary winner after the three-day contact period, the first backup winner will be contacted using the same process.
5. Prize Claim: The winner must redeem their prize by presenting a valid government-issued photo I.D. (Passport, Driver's License, or National I.D.) for validation and confirming their chosen charity within 10 days of being successfully contacted.
6. Prize Invalidation: If the selected winner or the backup winner (following the order of the 3 backups drawn) fails to redeem the prize within the 10-day claim period, the prize will be invalidated, and Hardware & Lumber Limited will retain the prize and donation component.

Charity Activation

The winner will instruct Hardware & Lumber Limited on which registered Jamaican relief charity is to receive the $1,000,000 JMD donation. Hardware & Lumber Limited will contact the selected charity to verify acceptance and load the H&L Cash amount onto a dedicated store value account (via H&L Card) for the charity's use.
